Vintage SCHUCO BELLHOP "Yes/No" MONKEY 1921-30s, 13" tall, VG cond. Restorations

Description

Here is a wonderful very early SCHUCO YES/NO monkey dressed as a Bellhop. With his tail you can move his head side to side or up and down, it works well. He was made starting in 1921 until the 30s. He is stuffed hard and fully jointed. He is made of felt and mohair. He has been restored very nicely and meticulously where it is hardly noticeable. The three areas are, the arms which have thin patches of red felt very finely sewn, the palms and soles of hands and feet are replaced with white felt and the ears are not original. These restorations are beautifully done!! The mohair on his head, hands and feet is quite thin. the tassel on his hat is missing. Please look at the pictures closely.
This SCHUCO bellhop yes/no monkey is in very good condition with strong bright colors, functional tail, firmly stuffed and minimal amount of holes in the felt. His face made of hard formed felt is intact. This little guy's expression is adorable!!
