Vintage Mid Century Indian Crewel Embroidery Stitchery Kit Fiberwork Art Macramé.
This art is in excellent shape. It is not stained, ripped, or discolored at all. The fibers are in all the correct places and held tightly. It is not frayed. This is a really nice example of mid century crewel fiber work art. The yarn is stretched over a field of off-white linen type fabric and mounted on a sturdy piece of paperboard that is held taught with many threads along the backside.
The subject is dancing in ceremonial dress with a buffalo head dress, a turquoise necklace, a maraca and sage.
It is 16 inches wide and 20 inches tall. Someone did a very nice job on this.
