This is a vintage Oshima Tsumugi silk Japanese necktie from the Amami region of Kagoshima Prefecture - a region famous for its fine silk and distinctive weaving and dying techniques. The design inspired by
misty hillsides in a gradated red weave
.
It is in perfect, never-worn condition and comes in its original packaging. It would make a unique gift!

This is from a huge lot of vintage Japanese items that we have
acquired.
Most were produced in Japan in the 1970’s or 1980’s, before such items were made in other Asian countries as they usually are now.
Some are unused, like new or have stains or other damage so

2) Standard Air Registered (INCLUDES TRACKING) but has a less predictable delivery time.

Note that due to reduced flights, JAPAN POST has suspended Air Parcel service to the USA, Australia and a few other countries (Europe is not effected). It is not known how long this will last but in the meantime, we are using JAPAN POST SURFACE mail which has tracking and insurance but can take about 60 days to the USA.
Alternatively, for an additional charge, YAMATO INTERNATIONAL offers extremely fast door to door service for a flat-rate for their various size boxes. The smallest “60cm” box is to most countries, can hold up to two kg and measures 27 X 19 X 19cm and arrives in about a week.
