VINTAGE 1940s-1950s DRINK HIRES ROOT BEER TIN ADVERTISING THERMOMETER SIGN

Description

This is an ORIGINAL vintage tin, or steel, soda water advertising thermometer. The front reads: "DRINK HIRES" and the bottom pictures a bottle of Hires Root Beer. It measures 27 inches long, and is 8 & 1/8 inches wide. I would call the condition GOOD to VERY GOOD, but please read the description, see the pictures, and make your OWN grade. The temperature reading is off by about 5 degrees. (The reading DOES move up & down when subjected to cold & heat, but the room temperature reading is off by a few degrees.) The colors are a little faded - not TOO bad. There is a little dark paint at the top, bottom, and side edges. (It looks like this was on a wall when someone painted around it, and got a little paint on the edges - not too bad.) It has some scratches and small paint rubs - general wear. It still displays very nicely. I think this was made in the 1940's, or maybe the early 1950's - give or take. It is guaranteed to be old & original, or your money back.
