    Schuco Yes / No Teddy Bear Unusually Large 21" Dark Mohair 1950's Working Well
    Schuco made this bear form 1926-1950's. This one was one of the later production in the 1950's. Curly mohair fur is in very good condition. No bald spots. It's straw stuffed, has clear glass eyes with black pupils, black floss nose, mouth and claws (excellent condition), backward front paws (excellent condition), felt pads/cardboard innersoles (felt is split on feet see photos), tail as lever operates head (some of the stitching is loose on tail, it function well in both yes and no directions, fur is a little worn on the top of the tail), fully jointed. One of the ears has come unstitched. No damage to the ear. Just needs stitching. The large size and hair color are rare on this bear. This is a much sought after bear. We are the original owners. This bear can be seen on page 173 of Teddy Bears and Steiff Animals by Margaret Fox Mandel.
