    "BLUEBIRDS & BLOOMS
    "
    This embroidery piece was punched by me on weavers cloth using a pattern by Brenda Gervais with three strands of hand dyed Valdani Floss.  The finished piece then mounted on a wooden horn book.   The horn book was cut from pine by me, painted black,  then lightly distressed and finished with a coat of Minwax Walnut stain.  There is rusty wire with two rusty bells tied around the handle of the horn book for a finishing touch.  The punch needle piece measures approximately  4  3/4" wide by 3" tall.  The horn book measures approximately  5  1/2" wide by 5  3/4" tall by 3/4" thick.
