Driminate (Dimenhydrinate 50mg) is an antihistamine used to prevent and treat nausea, vomiting, and dizziness caused by motion sickness.
Dimenhydrinate competitively blocks H1 receptors and prevents the action of histamine on bronchial smooth muscle, capillaries, and gastrointestinal (GI) smooth muscle. This prevents histamine-induced bronchoconstriction, vasodilation, increased capillary permeability, and gastrointestinal smooth muscle spasms.
