  • Condition: Excellent. I have used this mold for various 30 caliber loads. It fills and drops all 4 cavities well. It is coated in mold release (I haven't cast without it in 20 years) but you can remove it if you want. What looks like wear at the face corners is just where the mold release is coming off.

    Description

    This is a Lyman 4 cavity 311291 bullet mold. It drops 170 grain round nose bullets that accept a gas check. This is a great mold that you don't see in 4 cavity much. The 170 grain is a good fit on the 4 cavity block as the mold heats up appropriately but doesn't overheat very quickly.
    It is from my personal collection which I am thinning out. It is in excellent condition. I have used this mold for various 30 caliber cartridges. It fills and drops all 4 cavities well. It is coated in mold release (I haven't cast without it in 20 years) but you can remove it if you want. What looks like wear on the corner of the face is just where the mold release is coming off. I store my molds with the release on them in air tight containers with desiccant so they remain in good condition.
