    Description

    Hugh Taylor(D. 1992) was head coach for the Houston Oilers in the mid-1960s and a receiver for the Washington Redskins from 1947-54. He was Sammy Baugh's go-to guy. In addition to holding the top coaching job for the Oilers in 1964-65, he served as an assistant coach with the New York Titans (forerunner of the Jets), the San Diego Chargers, and the Pittsburgh Steelers. He coached in the college ranks at Arkansas State and Florida State in the late 1950s.
