"HOLLYWOOD'S RAILROADS"
is a series of softcover books about railroads and locomotives used by Hollywood in motion pictures and television shows. Five books are planned. Each book is 8.5 by 11 inches, 72 pages, and printed on heavy enameled paper with high resolution photos.
Volume Three: Narrow Gauge Country
covers the trains in southwestern Colorado and northwestern New Mexico, which run through some of the most spectacular scenery in the United States. They have been used in more than 60 films made between 1935 and 2014. The railroads in this volume are: Denver & Rio Grande Western, Rio Grande Southern, Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge, and Cumbres & Toltec Scenic. This volume has 130 photographs – with 22 in color – showing various trains and film companies in action.
