Dynaco PAS-2, Plug and Play!

Up for sale is a stellar example of the Dynaco PAS-2 with most of the newest refurbs including the Curcioaudio Input Switch mods, Curcioaudio RIAA Phono mods, Erhard Audio Power Supply mods and the Waters Volume Control, Balance Control, Blend Switch and Loudness Switch mods. This preamp is QUIET!
I have taken pains to de-rats-nest the interior of the preamp and have used RG-178 coax on all inputs.
All capacitors have been replaced with the exception of the 33 & 1500 pf caps on the line amp board; those caps generally do not “age” or drift with time. All resistors have been replaced with metal and/or carbon film types, and matched channel-for-channel when used as plate loads and cathode bias resistors. The only original controls remaining in the amp are the tone controls, which seem to work as per spec and thus did not get replaced.
A note on the loudness switch: The Waters modifications also boost the highs a bit; the switch should only be used, however, at low volume levels. Both PAS-2s that I have worked on tend to “motorboat” while listening to the “Phono Input” with the bass controls at extreme boost and the loudness switch on at moderately high listening levels. This may be an inherent flaw in the design, or simply operator error; I don’t know as I have not investigated the phenomenon and have not owned a brand new PAS-2. Then again, why would anyone want all those controls on at high listening levels? That’s what subwoofers are for!
12AX7s are brand new Electro Harmonix, while the 12X4 is an original, I believe. Unit will be shipped UPS Ground.
