CARVER C-4000 HIGH FIDELITY CONTROL CONSOLE AUTOCORRELATION PREAMPLIFIER PRE AMP

Description

Carver C-4000 High Fidelity Autocorrelation Sonic Holography Control Console (Stereo Preamplifier) acquired from the family of the original owner. I tested this unit using an Adcom Tuner, Power Amplifier and a pair of JBL Century L100 Speakers. The preamplifier passes a slight signal but with it comes a Loud Hum. The hum covers up most of the sound in both left and right channels. So this preamplifier is offered Non-Working for Repair, Parts, or Restoration. None of that "It powers up" or "worked the last time I used it. This unit is Not Working and needs Repair. Cosmetic condition is very good. There were some small areas of paint wear around the screws and on the sharp edges of the cabinet which I touched up with sharpee marker. The face, knobs, etc. are in excellent cosmetic condition. All items are cleaned and disinfected on the exterior before photo's are taken and again before shipment unless stated in my auction. You won't receive any dirty, smelly, smoke stained items from this seller. We do not open up working units to inspect or to clean.
