    Description

All holes are drilled and ready. No machining required.
These are designed to be used with the thick rubber recoil pads, NOT the hard plastic thin buttplates. The difference is that these stocks are an inch shorter than stocks made for the thin buttplates to make up for the recoil pad thickness.
Pairs well with Browning A5 recoil pads as the screw hole distance on the end of the buttstock is 3.125 inches.
The stocks look like european walnut. Some have dark grain, some have light grain, and some are a mix of both. Some have tiger striping. All look nice when sanded and oiled.
The first picture in this listing shows a "before" stock on the left and an "after" stock on the right. The left stock is what you'll receive. The right stock is after I sanded and oiled one of the stocks. It is an example of what the stock may look like after some light finishing.
All thats left is sanding to get the stock to fit snug to your shotgun and to get the outside looking nice. My recommendation is 80 grit to 150 to 220 and then possibly 320. Apply several coats of tung oil or boiled linseed oil. Then apply Polyurethane or nitrocellulose if you would like a protective coat over the oil.
The top tang inlet is 3.625 inches long. The bottom cut is 3.25 inches long. The front to front of the grip is 4.75 inches. The entire stock is about 12-12.5 inches long. The height at the front end is about 1.75 inches. Width at the front end is about 1.4375 inches. Fits on my 12GA Browning A5 from 1957.
Browning A5 Buttstock Unfinished from Belgium factory. Each one is dry and will need to be sanded and oiled. The tang screwhole is drilled as shown. The inlet is cut/drilled as shown. This stock wont need extra work aside from small sanding to get it to fit snug to your rifle and look nice.
Some have pencil marks, dates ranging from 1974-1976, and "NF" written on them from the FN factory in Belgium. All writing is intended to be sanded off.
Condition is "New". Shipped with USPS Priority Mail.
