    Description

    Pale yellow baby jacket worked in Herrschners 100% acrylic Baby Yarn.  Color Baby Yellow
    "This baby jacket was inspired by the baby clothes Luisa Sanfelice was making in the painting Luisa Sanfelice in carcere (Luisa Sanfelice in Prison) painted in 1874 by Gioacchino Toma."
    The jacket has a full skirt worked in mock cables and a yoke featuring a crossed-cable motif.  There is a chained yarn belt threaded through eyelets below the yoke.  There are buttonholes worked into the right side of the yoke from the belt to below the neckband, but I was hesitant to put buttons on a baby garment in case they came loose and posed a choking danger.
    The jacket is 31 inches around the underarms and 17 inches from hem to neckband.
