    Antique Vintage Cast Iron Post Office U.S. MAIL CHUTE EQUIPMENT CO. SAINT LOUIS - MAIL CHUTE door box cover letter slot.
    The mail chute measures 9 inches across and 9 inches tall.  No chips, cracks or repairs to the cast iron, it was painted black many years ago.  Somebody also many years ago soldered a piece of metal over the chute hole on the top, it is not damaged looking through the back it just needs to be removed.
