Prior to posting, t
his specimen showcased here was part of a vintage collection and was inactive for years due to a power switch issue.
It recently underwent a barrage of labor extensive but necessary attention, including but not limited to: replaced new compatible power switch, detailed clean every crevice every line, deoxit knobs, dials and buttons as well, replenished all pertinent electronic components to assure signal contact with some retouching involved in the refurbishing process to arrive in the integrity it once was.
Bench tested and in full working order ready to integrate in any existing collection of equally esoteric gears by Audiophiles, niche Akai Enthusiasts or purveyor of all things analog, most coveted and in very short supply..Get it while it lasts and as rare as they come!
The antenna bracket was modified and fabricated a fully functional pivot lever and fully operational.
This model is no longer in production and you'll be hard pressed to find another Akai specimen in this state of condition. It's a
n investment that literally worth the "wait" in gold!

Like any other vintage, inconspicuous imperfections is almost expected due to age.
