1) Yes, the truck has high miles (it is a 20 year old commercial grade vehicle)

Truck Story:
ONE OWNER and it was operated and kept here in Fayetteville NC its entire life by a dear friend that recently passed away, and me.  The history shows 2 owners but only because the recent title change after his passing.  I have known this truck personally for nearly 20 years, and personally operated it frequently through the years when asked to do so.    I am not sentimental about vehicles after being in the car business for 30 years, but this one is personal to me.
I cannot begin to explain to you what it took for me to finally list this truck for sale.  This was a personally-owned (not part of a fleet) repo wrecker in service for many years within a 2-3 state area, and rarely used as such for the recent past 8-10 years,
, now the truck belongs to me and I use it sparingly here at my shop to move cars around the lot and occasionally grab a vehicle down the road.
As I stated, I am looking for a rollback now to better suit my needs, that is the reason I am selling this wrecker.
Condition:
Average scratches and things all around as expected from a commercial vehicle, but take a look at the pics and you will see that it was very well cared for personally.
No rust or corrosion on the truck as it has been a North Carolina truck since new.
Interior is nice, especially for a commercial truck, seats was recovered and redone about 5-6 years ago by a local upholstery shop.
Starts every time, runs well, shifts well, rides well as can be expected on a 1 ton HD short wheelbase commercial chassis) wouldn't hesitate to drive it anywhere!
Engine oil leak from what appears to be the rear main engine seal (leaves a spot of oil overnight about the size of a tennis ball)
Air conditioner works well when medium temps outside, but when it gets NC muggy and 90+ it struggles to keep up.
ABS light comes on and off, no difference in feel when normal braking.
Power windows and power door locks work.
The truck is "bone stock" and has had no major fabrications or modifications
Our most recent trip was to Charlotte and back (7+ hour round-trip) and it did well.  (Unloaded there, loaded on the way back)
Service History:
I do not have documented service history in-hand for the truck.
To my recollection and with recent discussions my friend, the engine is original and only upper cylinder head work/ valve reconditioning has been done in the past.
The transmission has been replaced/rebuilt 3 times as I remember (the most recent about 3-4 years/about 40k miles ago) by a local professional builder
Most of the miles on this truck were put on it earlier in its life, only light usage for the past several years,
Regular oil change services, regular boom maintenance and lubrication
Several batteries, alternators and ac compressors over the years/ 455k miles etc.
I am sure the truck can use some updating and maintenance and repairs etc  to make it your own, so expect what it is, a 20+ year old wrecker.
If you are like me, I cannot afford to start in a 000+ hole for a wrecker, so I look for functional and affordable so I can hit the ground running.
